On awarding the Order of Courage to the relatives of the deceased employees of the Russian Embassy in Kabul, M. Shah and A.S. Kuzhuget

On December 16, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov met with the widow, daughter and son of the Russian diplomat Mikhail Shah, who died in the terrorist attack in Afghanistan on September 5 this year. The widow of M. Shah was awarded the Order of Courage (posthumously).

On December 13, Sergey Lavrov also held a meeting with the wife and son of the Embassy employee A.S. Kuzhuget, who died in the same terrorist attack.

The Minister expressed his deep condolences and words of support to the relatives of the deceased employees. He described them as dedicated patriots who gave their lives for the good of their homeland.

Mikhail Shah and Adygzhi Kuzhuget, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated September 14, 2022 No. 637, were awarded the Order of Courage (posthumously) for courage, perseverance and dedication shown in the performance of professional duty.
