On December 11, 2022, SCO Secretary General Zhang Ming spoke (online) at the international conference “Dialogue – a Guarantee of Peace”, organized by the Government of Turkmenistan and the UN Mission in Turkmenistan and timed to coincide with the International Day of Neutrality.
The event was also attended in person by Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States K. Omuraliev, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Central Asia, Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia N. German, EU Special Representative for Central Asia T. Hakala, UN Deputy Secretary General, Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) O. Algaerova, Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization H. Noziri, as well as heads of Turkmen ministries and departments, foreign diplomats and experts.
A welcome video message was sent by UN Secretary-General A. Guterres, Secretary-General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe H.M. Schmid. Congratulations on the occasion of the International Day of Neutrality were also sent by the President of Turkmenistan S.G. Berdimuhamedov.
