This year’s flower festival is organized jointly with Rain Forest experts from neighboring Thailand. Preparation for it lasted two months, and during its course changes were made to the landscape of the garden. The festival program includes musical performances, performances by famous singers and artists, playgrounds and evening markets.
The Kandozhi National Garden (better known as the Kandozhi Botanical Garden) was founded in 1915 in the mountain town of Meimyo (today Pyin U Lwin) 69 kilometers from Mandalay at an altitude of about 1000 meters. Its territory is 177 hectares.
This is a popular tourist destination, where not only a rich variety of trees, plants and flowers are represented, but also rare animals and birds live. There are three museums on the territory of the garden.
