Former Prime Minister of Great Britain David Cameron will start teaching politics at New York University in Abu Dhabi. This was reported by the agency Arab News.

The former head of the Conservative Party will deliver a three-week course of lectures on “The practice of politics and governance in an era of upheaval.” Classes will be available to all university students in both Abu Dhabi and New York. Cameron’s lecture series will complement the short-term elective courses conducted throughout the year by renowned scientists, writers, artists, journalists and political analysts.

It is reported that during the classes, the former British Prime Minister will touch on a number of important geopolitical topics, including the conflict in Ukraine and mass migration around the world. At the same time, it is not yet clear whether Brexit or the situation around Scottish independence will be in the program.

“He (Cameron — Ed.) led the Tory Party for 11 years and the country for six years. He will use his experience in conducting a lecture course on politics and government in an era of populism and destruction,” a friend of the former prime minister told The Financial Times.

David Cameron headed the UK government from 2010 to 2016. The politician agreed to hold a referendum on the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. When the majority of citizens voted “yes”, he resigned. His premiership was also marked by a plebiscite on Scottish independence in 2014.
