AvtoVAZ plans to resume production at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg in the second half of 2023, now the company is negotiating with new partners who will supply the company with machine kits, and intends to complete them in January-February, said Maxim Sokolov, president of the company.
According to him, the company plans to resume production of cars in the second half of next year, negotiations are underway with partners who will provide machine kits for assembly, RIA Novosti reports. According to Sokolov, it is too early to present specific models, since the negotiation process is scheduled to be completed in January-February.
Recall that in October, the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported that the Russian assets of the Nissan automaker will be transferred to state ownership in the person of FSUE NAMI, the deal involves an option to repurchase within six years.
