Eight medals: Tajik national team distinguished itself at the CIS Open Cup

Pupils of the ITF Taekwon-do Federation of Tajikistan took part in the CIS Open Cup – the Taekwon-do World Cup, which was held in Minsk
DUSHANBE, Sputnik reports. More than 760 athletes from Tajikistan, Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan participated in the tournament.
As reported by Sputnik Tajikistan in the Taekwon-do Federation of the Republic, the national delegation consisted of 21 people, including judges, coaching staff and 14 athletes.
Competitions were held in individual and team disciplines. Each of the participants could perform in two programs: complex exercises “tooli” and sparring.
The result for Tajik athletes was 3 gold and 5 bronze medals. Timur Abdurakhmanov won gold in individual sparring among boys aged 11-13 (black belts), Darian Iskhakov became the first in individual sparring among boys aged 11-13 (colored belts), and Yasir Nasimov won the highest award in individual sparring among children aged 7-8 (colored belts).
In addition, Abdurashid Bafoyev (personal sparring among men, black belts), Samiya Alimova (personal complex exercises among girls 9-10 years old, colored belts), Shahzodhon Atayev (personal complex exercises among boys 11-13 years old, colored belts), Sadriddin Rakhimov (personal sparring among boys 14-15 years old, colored belts) and Sultonsho Nazarshoev (personal sparring among boys aged 14-15, colored belts) received bronze awards.
