Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov met with the president of the Japanese company “Muroo Systems Co” Jongsing Pan to discuss prospects for further cooperation in the energy sector. This is reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
During the meeting, Akylbek Zhaparov noted the republic’s interest in expanding investment and technological cooperation with Muroo Systems Co, attracting capital, advanced experience and modern technological solutions to modernize and technologically upgrade the country’s energy infrastructure.
Zhaparov stressed that the development of the energy sector in Kyrgyzstan has been identified as a national priority, and real practical steps are being taken in the country to improve the investment climate.
During the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic and Muroo Systems Co.
President of a Japanese company Zhongxing Pan noted that he is ready for close cooperation and constructive negotiations on the implementation of promising projects for the construction of hydroelectric power plants.
“In case of successful implementation of the hydroelectric power plant construction project, many Japanese companies will also notice the investment potential of Kyrgyzstan and open up opportunities for other Japanese companies to invest in Kyrgyzstan,” he said.
