The leaders of the CIS countries received rings with the symbols of the Commonwealth as a gift for the New Year at an informal summit in St. Petersburg.
An informal meeting of the CIS heads of state is taking place in St. Petersburg on December 26-27 at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is attended by the Presidents of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Kazakhstan Kasymzhomart Tokayev, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
