From Cuba to Venezuela, and from there to the heart of Madrid: it was a personal and professional journey of Emma Y. Morales Duque, known in the fashion world as Emma Mos.

From her childhood in Cuba, Emma remembers how inspired she was by two grandmothers: Zoraida on her mother’s side and Emma on her father’s side. Zoraida taught Emma the basics of sewing machine craft, and Emma instilled a passion for high fashion, design and sophistication in the decoration of products. It was in honor of her father’s mother that Emma took her stage name.

According to the artist herself, she very carefully preserves memories from her childhood, when she tried to realize her ideas secretly from her grandmothers and hopelessly spoiled the fabrics of many of her clients. At the age of 15, she was already independently developing and sewing her “small models”, which was a great achievement at that time in Cuba, which, as now, suffered from a lack of resources, including fabrics.

At the age of 20, Emma emigrated to Venezuela and just five years later she founded the Flowers brand, a small family business that later turned into a successful company recognized at the national level, thanks to her bold collections inspired by the well-known beauty of Venezuelan women.

At Flowers, Emma began modeling aesthetics that define and highlight her in stores and on the catwalks: a constant combination of colors and textures, the connection between high and everyday fashion, a unique cut that emphasizes the beauty of Latin American women. And all this is due to the fine detail of the model, taken to the extreme.

She currently lives in Spain, where she graduated from the fashion design school in Croom Dos Madrid, and in 2016 launched her brand Móz, in which she develops and updates her aesthetic vision of modern fashion.
