The “Know India” program (KIP) is a flagship initiative for interaction with compatriots and introduces young people of Indian origin (18-30 years old) to their roots and modern India. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India conducts 25-day tours with visits to one or two states.

Six programs are organized per year. For each program, 40 young people from the Indian diaspora are selected, who are provided with a full package of accommodation in India. The Indian Foreign Ministry pays up to 90% of the total cost of international air tickets. The entire application process, processing, etc. is carried out through the KIP portal.

In the period from December 2022 to February 2023, it is planned to conduct three “Know India” programs with visits to the states of Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha.

Karnataka State

Karnataka is one of the most controversial states in the country. The skyscrapers here are adjacent to slums, and the clean streets of Mangalore with the dirty beaches of Gokarna. This state will surprise you with its authentic culture and beautiful nature.

Madhya Pradesh State

Madhya Pradesh is translated from Hindi as “Central Province”. The state is located in the very center of the Hindustan peninsula. Until 2000, the state of Madhya Pradesh was the first in the country in terms of territory size. Now it occupies the second position after Rajasthan.

Odisha State

Orissa is the 9th largest and 11th most populous state in India. A narrow coastal plain and mountainous areas rich in minerals. The population is 42 million people, 73% of whom speak Oriya.
