The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Mohammad Islami, on Wednesday announced preparations for the visit of officials of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to Iran after the New Year holidays.

The head of the AEI stated the readiness of the opposing sides to negotiate (on the lifting of sanctions – ed.).
Eslami said that the production of drugs by heavy water derivatives is on the agenda of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran.
“The only Iranian company in the world in the field of radiopharmaceutical production is under sanctions, which indicates that people’s lives have no value for those countries that impose sanctions,” he said.
According to him, one million patients use radiopreparations annually. “If we didn’t have a nuclear fuel cycle, we wouldn’t be able to produce radiopharmaceuticals in the country,” he added Eslami.
