The Syrian university mini-football team has reached the quarterfinals of the second championship, which is currently being held in the city of Al Ain (UAE), with the participation of athletes from fourteen Arab countries.
The tournament is organized by the UAE Sports Federation for Schools and universities in cooperation with the Arab University Sports Federation. The Syrian team reached the quarterfinals, taking second place at the end of the first round as part of its group, which included the teams of Algeria, Egypt, Palestine and Jordan.
In the first round, the Syrians beat the Algerians 3-1 and the Egyptians 3-2, and also drew with the Jordanians 1-1 and the Palestinians 3-3.
