A memorandum of cooperation has been signed between the Turkish Academy of Justice and the Higher Law School of Algeria

Deputy Justice Minister Hassan Yilmaz recalled that December 27 marks the 506th anniversary of relations between Turkey and Algeria.

The Turkish Academy of Justice and the Higher Law School of Algeria signed a memorandum on the training of lawyers, judges and prosecutors, as well as on judicial cooperation.

The signing ceremony, held at the Ministry of Justice in the capital of Algeria, was attended by Deputy Minister of Justice of Turkey Hassan Yilmaz, Minister of Justice of Algeria Abdurrashid Tibbi, President of the Turkish Academy of Justice Muhittin Ozdemir, Director General of the Higher Law School of Algeria Abdulkerim Djadi, Turkish Ambassador to Algeria Mahinur Ozdemir Goktash and officials.

Deputy Minister of Justice Yilmaz, in a conversation with a correspondent of the Anadolu agency, recalled that today marks the 506th anniversary of relations between Turkey and Algeria. Yilmaz stressed that relations between the two countries gained momentum after the visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Algeria in 2018.

Noting that relations between Turkey and Algeria in the commercial and cultural spheres are successfully strengthening, Yilmaz added: “In this context, we signed a memorandum of understanding between the Turkish Academy of Justice and the Higher School of Judges of Algeria on the training of lawyers, judges and prosecutors, information exchange and judicial cooperation.”

Director General of the Higher Law School of Algeria Djadi expressed satisfaction with the cooperation agreement reached between the institutions of the two countries. According to the CEO, in this context, a special place is occupied by the exchange of knowledge and experience.

Adding that all parties will benefit from the newly created opportunities. Jadi thanked Turkey for its cooperation.
