A new section of high-speed railway has been launched in the north-west of China

On Thursday, December 29, traffic officially opened on the high-speed railway line / HSR / Lanzhou-Yinchuan.

This project has reduced the travel time between the administrative centers of Gansu Province and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in northwest China by five hours and 30 minutes to less than three hours.

The new HSR is the last section of the Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia ring railway line, which passes through a number of cities of the named three regions, including Lanzhou, Baiyin, Qingyang, Tangshui, Yinchuan, Zhongwei, Xining and Xi’an.
