The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the contest “The Best Museum of the country in 2022” was held at the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.
According to the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan”, the competition among museums was held in 5 nominations: museums of Velayat, urban, etrap, rural significance and branches of state museums competed with each other.
According to the results of the contest “The Best Velayat Museum of the year” became the Local History Museum of the Balkan Velayat.
The Bakhshi Museum of Dashoguz Velayat became the “Best City Museum of the Year”.
In the nomination “The Best Etrap Museum of the Year”, the winner was the museum named after Makhtumkuli Fraga etrap Makhtumkuli of the Balkan Velayat.
The S.Cherkezov Gengeshlik Museum of the Akdepa etrap of the Dashoguz Velayat is recognized as the “Best Rural Museum of the Year”.
In the nomination “The best museum branch of the year”, the Historical and Archaeological Museum of the village of Mekan of the Bayramali etrap, a branch of the Historical and Local History Museum of the Mary Velayat was determined.
The organizers of the competition were the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the National Center of Trade Unions of the country.
