The “Chuyun” period of 2023 has begun in China

On Saturday, December 7, the annual Chunyun period began – the period of seasonal migration of the Chinese population before, during and after the Spring festival. (春运, Chunyun, “Spring Movement”)
The Spring Festival or Chinese New Year is the most important and longest national holiday in China. The celebrations last for a week or two.

The “Chun Yun” period is traditionally characterized by a significant surge in passenger traffic on all types of intercity transport.

This year, “Chun Yun” will last 40 days – from January 7 to February 15.
