China on Monday, January 9, launched a carrier rocket “Gushenxing-1 Y5” / “Ceres-1 Y5” or “CERES-1 Y5” / from the Jiuquan cosmodrome in the northwest of the country.
The launch vehicle was launched at 13:04 Beijing time. With its help, five satellites were delivered to the planned orbit.
The above-mentioned satellites included the Tianqi-13 satellite belonging to the Tianqi Constellation, two satellites belonging to the Tianmu-1 meteorological grouping, and two satellites for Earth observation and popularization of space science, respectively.
The Gushenxing-1, developed by the Beijing-based high-tech company Galactic Energy, is a small-sized solid-fuel launch vehicle capable of launching microsatellites into low Earth orbit.
For the launch vehicles of the Gushenshin-1 series, this flight was the fifth in a row.
