During the conversation, an in-depth exchange of views took place on the development of the situation in and around Syria, with an emphasis on the tasks of promoting a comprehensive settlement in the SAR on the basis of UN Security Council resolution 2254. In this context, the importance of coordinated targeted efforts to normalize Syrian-Turkish relations based on the principles of respect for the unity, territorial integrity and sovereignty of the SAR was noted.

At the same time, the Russian side confirmed its position in favor of a comprehensive settlement of the Libyan crisis based on the principles of ensuring the unity, territorial integrity and state sovereignty of Libya, with which Moscow has always had traditionally friendly relations.
Some practical issues of further development of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in trade, economic and humanitarian spheres were also discussed.
