According to the president of the Chinese company Alibaba Group, John Michael Evans, more than $ 1 billion will be invested in Turkey in a logistics center at Istanbul airport and a data center near the Turkish capital.

“We have a serious investment plan for Istanbul Airport. From here we can estimate the volume of electronic exports to Europe, the Middle and Far East,” Evans said in an interview with Sabah newspaper.

According to Mr. Evans, the company intends to build a logistics base at Istanbul airport, as well as the largest data processing center in Turkey with an area of 200 thousand square meters, which will be located in Temelli.

As the president of Alibaba noted, the logistics base in Istanbul can become a key point in the supply chain of goods to Europe and the Middle East. And large-scale investments in Turkish infrastructure will eventually allow Alibaba to significantly increase revenue.
