“Iran Khodro can work well and have an effective presence in Russia.”
General Director of Iran Khodro Industrial Group Mehdi Khatibi officially announced the start of deliveries of machines to Russia and said the following: “By the end of this year, we will export about two thousand Tara and Dana cars to the Russian market.”

“This year Iran Khodro company with 21 subsidiaries took part in the Moscow Motor Show and managed to develop a good market after participating in this show. Especially in the sector related to heavy vehicles and engine parts. Iran Khodro can work well and have an effective presence in Russia,” Mehdi Khatibi said.

As previously reported, the Tara is one of the most modern sedans in the Iran Khodro line, but do not forget that Iran has been under sanctions for a long time. In fact, this is the Iranian version of the French Peugeot 301 car. In size, it is slightly larger than Hyundai Solaris — the dimensions are 4519 x 1953 x 1466 mm, respectively, and the trunk volume is 640 liters.

The car is equipped with a 1.6-liter engine, a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed “automatic”. Tara received four airbags, cruise control, a rear-view camera, a multimedia system with a 7-inch display. Unofficially, such cars appeared on sale in Russia back in November.

In addition, Iran Khodro Industrial announces the expansion of its presence in other international markets. This year, the company will deliver 3,500 cars to Azerbaijan, which is 50% of the total number of cars delivered to this country in the last few years.
