On January 12, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov received Ambrose Mutiniri, the appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe in Moscow, who presented copies of credentials.

During the conversation, topical issues of further development of traditionally friendly Russian-Zimbabwean relations were discussed with an emphasis on strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, scientific and humanitarian spheres. At the same time, the mood of Moscow and Harare to deepen the political dialogue and focus on effective coordination of actions in the UN and other international platforms was confirmed.
