Citizens and residents of the UAE will have access to five thousand public services through the smartphone app. The Federal Authority For Government Human Recourses (FAHR) of the country reported this.
According to the agency, ministries and federal authorities may begin implementing electronic signatures for all procedures. It will be possible to use an electronic signature for signing documents on the basis of the UAE PASS platform. The system will allow you to refuse to visit the service centers of citizens, as well as to provide identity documents. The digital ID, as well as the signature, will be in the application.
“This project reflects FAHR’s commitment to develop the system and working tools in the federal government and accelerate procedures… And it also serves the instructions of the wise leadership of the UAE regarding the automation of public services and their transformation into intelligent ones in order to improve and enrich the customer experience,” the Federal Administration said in a statement.
According to a number of sources in the Network, the development of the UAE PASS began in 2018, to support the electronic document flow of the UAE. Even before the introduction of digital signatures, the system allowed access to the services of a number of organizations – both public and private.
