The Arctic regions need the development of social infrastructure, which should become one of the priorities of the Government of the Russian Federation. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stated this at a cabinet meeting.
“More than 2.5 million people live in these northern regions with special conditions, and the expansion of social infrastructure there is one of the most important tasks of the government,” the Prime Minister added.

The allocated funds for 2.5 billion rubles will be used to repair schools and kindergartens, medical institutions, as well as sports grounds and cultural centers. In addition, it is planned to purchase equipment for polyclinics, hospitals and paramedic-obstetric stations.

The message published on the official Telegram channel of the Government also notes that tax deductions from the implementation of investment projects located in the Arctic zone will be directed to the development of the Arctic regions. The relevant amendments to the existing legislation were made on behalf of Vladimir Putin.
