On January 12 of this year, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Imangali Tasmagambetov, who assumed his duties on January 1, 2023, visited the Joint Headquarters of the CSTO.
The head of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, informed the new head of the Organization about the main activities in the field of development of the collective security system in terms of Troops (Collective Forces) The CSTO, on improving the organization of joint operational and combat training events, joint training of military personnel and specialists for the armed forces of the CSTO member states, as well as on multilateral military–technical cooperation.
The Secretary General was told about the work of the structural units of the CSTO Joint Staff, demonstrated the decision-making hall of the CSTO Crisis Response Center, familiarized with the historical exposition of the lecture and exhibition hall located in the International Military Center.
As a result of the working visit, CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov noted that life dictates certain challenges and they must be solved together. “The issue of security in our regions is certainly on the shoulders of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, which means on our shoulders. Thank you so much for your service, we will work together,” Imangali Tasmagambetov said.
