The Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States presented a plan of events dedicated to the Year of the Russian Language as the Language of Interethnic Communication. The list of events was approved and signed by the heads of government of the CIS countries.
Within the framework of the events, the III International Congress “Language Policy of the Commonwealth of Independent States”, the Forum of Young Writers of Russia, CIS countries and abroad, various international scientific conferences, round tables, competitions, Olympiads, etc. will be held.
Russian Russian Language Year, it is also planned to conduct a study on the “Index of the position of the Russian language in the world and CIS countries” and present its results. Russian Russian Language in the CIS Area is also planned to be established on the basis of the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language, the Alan of the events also provides for the establishment of the consortium “Russian Language in the CIS space”.
Earlier, Online publication “Embassy life” wrote that the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL) started in 2022. The Global Action Plan, aimed at supporting Linguistic Cultures and published by UNESCO, aims to preserve, revive and popularize indigenous languages in all spheres of society.
