One of the most significant events in Venice this year will last seven weeks – from February 6 to March 21. The program of events was posted on the official website of the festival.
This Venice Carnival will be held without any epidemiological restrictions – for the first time since the beginning of the COVID–19 pandemic. However, this year it will also be possible to visit the holiday virtually – with the help of the Metaverse.
“Thanks to the six official Instagram filters*, you can share your photos while wearing one or even all of the most famous carnival masks. In the future, you can buy carnival digital skins and masks for your avatar on Ready Player Me and Roblox to stand out in the Metaverse,” the organizers of the event announced on the official website.
The carnival will delight tourists with numerous street performances, comedy performances, exhibitions and many other entertainments. This year, it is also planned to hold a competition for the best masquerade mask, which will be launched on February 8.
