A drug called Xianxin has been approved by the pharmaceutical regulator of China and will soon be put into mass production, CGTN news channel reported yesterday. The first batch of the drug has already been delivered to two hospitals in Nanjing.

“Clinical data have shown that Xianxin is similar in safety and superior in efficacy to imported oral drugs targeting 3C-like protease. 12 days after approval by the pharmaceutical regulator, it was put into mass production. In the near future, the medicine will be transferred to various medical institutions, and it will become another effective means of combating the new phase of the covid outbreak,” the General Director of the pharmaceutical company Simcere, Ren Jinsheng, reports the TV channel.

The cost of the drug will be 750 yuan (about 8 thousand rubles), but according to the medical insurance system, patients will need to pay only 10% of the total amount.
