Talks between the Leaders of Iran and the Republic of Belarus took place in Tehran

Alexander Lukashenko, who arrived in Tehran the day before, met with his counterpart, the head of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, the press service of the President of the Republic of Belarus reported today.

The Belarusian-Iranian relations and their level in comparison with the previous years of cooperation between the two countries were discussed during the talks of the top officials of the states.

“From the experience of my communication with the former presidents of Iran, the negotiations that we conducted, I noted that the peculiarity of this visit is that we can reach a new stage, a new stage of our cooperation. The peculiarity of this cooperation will be the highest efficiency. The agreements that have already been reached allow me to make such a statement,” Alexander Lukashenko said during the meeting.

The negotiations resulted in the signing of a roadmap for comprehensive cooperation between Belarus and Iran for 2023-2026. According to the document, both countries undertake to develop comprehensive cooperation in various areas of the life of the state and society. In particular, we are talking about the economy, politics, education, the media and other areas.

“In total, I can estimate the current visit, if we implement all our agreements, within $100 million,” the President of Belarus added.

Lukashenko also recalled that March 18 will mark 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.
