Construction and preparatory work on the construction of Russia’s largest logistics terminal named after Deng Xiaoping has started. The terminal will become part of the Ethylene 600 industrial park.
Today, more than 80 pieces of equipment and about 100 builders work at the site. Work is underway on the vertical layout of the ground. Completion of the first stage of work is planned by the end of 2023. The amount of investments at the first stage is 20 billion rubles.
Deng Xiaoping Logocenter will become the largest in Russia. The initial area of the project will be 65 hectares. The length of the container platform will be 1.05 km, which will allow loading and unloading operations with an entire container train at once without additional shunting work.
The logistics complex will receive and send back at least one train to China every week. In addition, the terminal will provide multimodal transportation services as a transshipment terminal with the interaction of several types of transport – automobile, railway and, in the future, aviation.
The planned capacity after all stages of the logistics complex project implementation is 100 thousand containers per year.
Recall that the SEZ “Alabuga” and PJSC “SIBUR” in August 2022 signed an agreement on the creation of the industrial park “Ethylene 600”. The total investment in the project will amount to 1.3 trillion rubles, of which 140 billion rubles are SEZ investments.
Ethylene 600 will be the only platform in Russia where a unique window of opportunity has been created for producers of low- and medium-tonnage chemicals to gain access to petrochemical raw materials.
Alabuga is the No. 1 special economic zone in Russia. Today, it is a full-cycle partner that provides the best engineering, construction, human resources, and social infrastructure. There are more than 30 unique import-substituting industries located on the territory of the SEZ, which are leaders in their industries. The total volume of private investments is 162 billion rubles, 10.5 thousand jobs have been created, and the revenue of residents in 2022 amounted to more than 130 billion rubles.
