The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation congratulated the country’s oldest airline on the 100th anniversary of its founding. Mikhail Mishustin noted the high role of Aeroflot in the development of domestic aviation, as well as in important historical events for the country. The head of Government, the press service reports, also recalled that the national carrier always strives to introduce new technologies, to use new aircraft in its work.
“Times are changing, but the popularity of the famous airline among passengers remains unchanged. Today, Aeroflot is the largest holding company, the main national carrier, the leader of the domestic and global market. As before, it is distinguished by reliability, safety, punctuality, high-quality service and services. And that is why it is the first in the country in terms of passenger and freight traffic,” Mikhail Mishustin said.
The Prime Minister thanked the employees and veterans of Aeroflot for their dedication to the cause and interests of the country, adding that “The achievements of Aeroflot are a huge work of a large team that performs its work, without exaggeration, at a height, professionally, clearly and harmoniously.”
The airline considers its history from March 17, 1923, when the Russian Joint Stock Company of the Voluntary Air Fleet appeared in the country. Dobrolet, which stands at the origins of Aeroflot, was engaged in the organization of mail, passenger and cargo flights in the new state.
