Oksana Lychagina is an artist, architect, founder and owner of the Lychagina House on the Arbat.

Oksana Lychagina is a Russian artist and architect, a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia and the Creative Union of Professional Artists, the Union of TSDPI

Born in Moscow. After graduating from MARCHI, she founded the OLstudio architecture and design studio in 1998, having implemented more than 250 projects with publications in well-known magazines. 52 publications in print media, as well as numerous articles and interviews in online publications. Participation in the jury in architecture and design competitions in Moscow

From the embodiment of ideas in interior design, she moved on to creating collections of paintings, taking part in many international and Russian exhibitions.
Oksana came to artistic creativity as an adult, an accomplished person, and extensive experience in the field of architecture helps her to understand and feel the material world, time and space, as well as the magic of the materialization of thought.

Oksana currently lives and works in Moscow.

Creating a picture, I want to convey thoughts and feelings – without words, outside of time and space, only with the help of an image. I like to think over the plot, the action in a modern interpretation and then embody it in my unique author’s technique using modern technological materials. My works are a reinterpretation of traditions in the new realities of our world, they already lie in our minds as imprints of memory, and my task is to give them a new life in the present and the future.

With all my works, I support eternal values – this is life, love, beauty and the realization that everything in this world is one. I started painting with the idea that I wanted to paint light, paint radiance – now I’m looking for what it is, and I’m trying to portray it on canvas.” – Oksana Lychagina.

Works using gold, silver, liquid glass, acrylic and tempera became the artist’s response to everything around him. The technique of application is brought from icon painting.
