The Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviatsiya) is considering the possibility of resuming flights to Vietnam, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia and South Korea. Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to the agency’s website reported this last week, on March 13.

The Federal Agency is also considering the prospects for flights to countries such as Ethiopia, Myanmar, South Africa, Tunisia and Algeria.

Now, Russia is connected by direct flights with 34 states. As the press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency notes, “flights to the Russian Federation are operated by 53 foreign airlines from 27 countries.”

It is expected that about 101.2 million people will become passengers of Russian air carriers this year, but this figure will be achieved if restrictions related to flights to the southern and central parts of the country are lifted.
