The Russian Federation took the eighth place among suppliers of agricultural raw materials and food to India. Vegetable oils formed the basis of exports. 558.5 thousand tons of them were shipped for $908.8 million, which is 2.4 and 2.9 times more, respectively, than in 2021. Russian vegetable oils occupied 4.3% of the Indian market.

According to the review, in 2021, the turnover of agricultural products between Russia and India increased by 1.3% compared to 2020, to $1.04 billion. According to Agroexport, prospects for expanding trade in agricultural products with India will be discussed during the business mission of Russian exporting companies in New Delhi. It will include a plenary session dedicated to the strategic partnership between Russia and India in the field of trade in agricultural products, as well as a series of round tables on the most relevant topics: the development of trade in legumes, fat and oil products, as well as features of work in HoReCa channels, retail and e-commerce in the Indian market. During the business mission, an exposition of Russian goods will be organized and more than three hundred b2b meetings and negotiations between Russian and Indian companies are planned.
