On March 21, 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Aleinik met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Belarus Alireza Sanei, during which the new head of the Iranian diplomatic mission presented copies of credentials.
The interlocutors discussed concrete steps to enhance bilateral cooperation, including issues of increasing economic cooperation. We agreed on approaches to joint work to strengthen relations between the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to the Islamic Republic of Iran on March 12-13, 2023, as well as the implementation of the Roadmap of Comprehensive Cooperation between the two countries for 2023-2026. The sides exchanged views on cooperation and mutual support in international organizations.
