The Boao Forum for Asia is sometimes called the Eastern Davos. It is a platform for cooperation and interaction between Asian countries and states from other regions of the world. The event has been held regularly since 2001 – the exception was 2020, when the events were canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, this year, the BAF will be held in full-time format for the first time in three years.
