The planned trip of Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi to China was announced by the press service of the country’s foreign ministry. The head of the Japanese Foreign Ministry will arrive in China tomorrow, RIA Novosti reported on Friday.

“Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi will visit Beijing from April 1 to April 2. He will hold talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang. This is the first visit of the Japanese Foreign Minister to China since December 2019,” the agency quotes the text of the press release.

This visit of the Minister will be the first in four years: the last time Yoshimasa Hayashi visited China in 2019, accompanied by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. All this time, contacts between the foreign ministries of Japan and China were maintained through telephone conversations.
