Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan is gaining 49.76% of the vote, his rival Kemal Kilicdaroglu – 44.49% after processing ballots over 95% of ballot boxes in the general elections in Turkey, TRT Haber reported.
According to the TV channel, after processing 95.4% of the ballot boxes, Erdogan wins 49.76% of the votes, Kilicdaroglu – 44.49% of the votes.
Presidential and parliamentary elections were held in Turkey on May 14. The main opponent of the current president Recep Tayyip Erdogan – the only candidate from the “Republican Alliance” – is the only candidate from the opposition “People’s Alliance” Kemal Kilicdaroglu. The Ata Alliance candidate Sinan Ogan is also participating in the elections. The fourth candidate, the leader of the Memleket party Muharrem Inje, announced his candidacy three days before the election, but his name remained on the ballots.
