The III Forum of Youth Initiatives of Russia and Azerbaijan has ended in the Azerbaijani city of Mingechevir. From May 16 to May 18, it gathered more than 100 delegates from the two countries and brought together representatives of the younger generation who are ready to implement joint projects and breakthrough ideas.

At the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Konstantin Mogilevsky welcomed the participants of the forum, noting the importance of dialogue and the development of relations between the youth of Russia and Azerbaijan.
“When we talk about young people, we think about the future, about what will happen in decades. Very soon you will occupy leading positions in various spheres of life in our countries. It is very important for us to create conditions for young people to meet each other, communicate and exchange contacts. I think for many of you, the connections established during the forum will be important throughout your life. Now is the right time for you to find friends who will become partners and associates in the future. We would also like you to focus not only on the discussion, but also on the implementation of joint projects,” Konstantin Mogilevsky stressed.
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan Indira Hajiyeva noted that Azerbaijan and Russia are neighbors who are connected by an impressive stretch of history with close ties between peoples, politicians, culture and values. According to her, the joint work of the countries in the framework of youth policy has developed very intensively recently.
“The vector of our interaction goes from communication to practice. It started with the first forum, and already at the second — young people discussed joint projects. And I hope that within the framework of the third forum, work on the practice-oriented direction will proceed with greater intensity,” Indira Hajiyeva concluded.

He noted that this thesis was formulated by national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Participants from Russia and Azerbaijan noted that the forum has become a place for exchanging views and approaches in the implementation of youth policy, searching for new formats, and developing humanitarian and scientific cooperation. Ultimately, these efforts will help to realize the professional and creative opportunities of young people from Russia and Azerbaijan.
