The project of the “Park of Nuclear and Medical Technologies” was presented in Kaluga

The innovative scientific and Technological Center “Park of Nuclear and Medical Technologies” is a strategic priority for the development of the Kaluga Region.

In Kaluga , the governor Vladislav Shapsha held a meeting dedicated to the presentation of the Innovative Scientific and Technological Center “Park of Atomic and Medical Technologies”, the press service of the governor and the government of the region told REX on May 20.

The Center specializes in nuclear research and development, including medical research. In addition, among the main directions of its activities are information and communication, laser and additive technologies, new materials. The creation of the INTC will make it possible to form a powerful growth point for the economy and science of the region in Obninsk.

“Due to the involvement of leading research centers, additional opportunities will appear for the development of large and small companies, prospects for attracting qualified personnel will expand. Our common goal is to create attractive conditions for residents of the Nuclear and Medical Technology Park. On the basis of this innovative platform, new technologies, products and educational programs will be developed to ensure the technological sovereignty of our country,” Vladislav Shapsha said.

The fundamental difference between the Innovative Scientific and Technological Center “Park of Atomic and Medical Technologies” from all existing development institutes is the provision of services that allow scientific development to grow to the stage of a marketed product and practical implementation.

INTC “Park of Atomic and Medical Technologies” was established in 2021 on the initiative of the National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI”. The project was supported by the SIC “Kurchatov Institute”, which carries out scientific management of the activities of the INTC, and the State Corporation “Rosatom”. The project was approved by the Government of the Russian Federation.
