On May 22-23, 2023, the XVIII meeting of the SCO Forum, organized by the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, was held in Dushanbe (Republic of Tajikistan) under the chairmanship of the Tajik side. It was attended by more than 40 experts from SCO member States, observer states and dialogue partners, representatives of the SCO Secretariat and the SCO RATS Executive Committee.
The meeting was opened by the Director of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.Usmanzoda, SCO Secretary General Zhang Ming, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan A.Sharifi, former SCO Secretary General (2016-2018) R. Alimov, Acting National Coordinator of the Republic of Tatarstan for SCO Affairs A.Saidmurodzoda.
During the meeting, the participants discussed three thematic blocks: interaction of the SCO member states in the field of international security; problems of economic cooperation; development of the humanitarian direction. The general understanding of the special relevance of the SCO Forum as a platform for scientific and expert support of the Organization’s activities in the context of global transformation is stated.
