The Diagnostics-M company has developed and started production of inspection equipment, which is used for checking luggage and cargo, with artificial intelligence (AI). This was reported on Tuesday on the website of the mayor of the capital.

“The new smart introscope will be able to independently identify dangerous and prohibited items, which will simplify the work of inspection equipment operators and increase the level of public safety. The development has no analogues in the Russian market, and the level of its localization reaches 100%,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the capital’s Department of investment and Industrial policy, whose words are quoted in the message.

It follows from the publication that the new equipment identifies the object and gives the operator the appropriate information on the monitor about the contents of the luggage. The AI identifies suspicious objects and designates their name. The program is trained to recognize prohibited items and their individual fragments from different angles.

According to Vladimir Usachev, General Director of Diagnostics-M, many customers are interested in the new product. At the same time, the company’s specialists will continue to improve the artificial intelligence system.
