The first bus with an electric motor has been launched on the route line in Baku. An electric bus runs on route No. 5.
This was reported to Trend on Tuesday by the Ground Transport Agency of Azerbaijan.
It was noted that the route line covers the direction “20th section – Nariman Narimanov metro station”.
“”The bus has 33 passenger seats, the total passenger capacity is 82 people. When fully charged, the bus is able to travel a distance of 350 km. The vehicle fully meets the modern requirements of passenger transportation.
The electric bus will be checked for compliance with the existing relief of Baku. Based on the results, an assessment will be given of the possibility of using buses with electric motors in public transport of the capital,” the agency said in a statement.
