On November 30, 2023, at the headquarters of the CIS ATC, a meeting was held between the Head of the Center, Colonel General Sysoev E.S., and a delegation of the Group for Analytical Support and Monitoring of Sanctions of the UN Security Council Committees 1267/1989/2253 on ISIS*, Al-Qaeda* and 1988 on the Taliban movement* as part of the Russian (V.A. Shtoyunda), Chinese (Uhong Shi) and South African (Nina Marais) experts.
During the conversation, an interested exchange of views took place on modern challenges and threats in various regions of the world emanating from the activities of international terrorist organizations.
Special attention was paid to the situation in the anti-terrorist sphere in the countries of the Central Asian region of the CIS, including the situation in Afghanistan.
The meeting took place on the eve of the preparation of the next report of the Group pursuant to UN Security Council resolution 2610 (2021) on ISIS*, Al-Qaeda* and related individuals and organizations.
