On March 10, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov held a briefing for the heads of diplomatic missions of Arab states accredited in Moscow.

The event was dedicated to the situation around Ukraine: the diplomats were explained in detail the reasons, goals and objectives of the ongoing special military operation to ensure the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, the protection of the long-suffering people of Donbass, as well as the elimination of the threat to Russia’s national security emanating from Ukrainian territory.

Particular attention was paid to issues related to ensuring the safety of civilians in Ukraine, the organization and functioning of humanitarian corridors, and assistance to refugees. At the same time, it was noted that in connection with the numerous appeals received by the Russian Foreign Ministry from foreign embassies with requests for assistance in providing safe departure from Ukraine for citizens and diplomats of these countries, the Russian Defense Ministry, in coordination with other Russian departments, is doing everything possible to provide them with the necessary assistance and support.
