Former Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan has died in Moscow

Yuri Ponosov was 83 years old, he held high positions in Tajikistan, including Minister of Construction and First Deputy Prime Minister

Prominent Tajik statesman Yuri Ponosov has died in Moscow.
He was 83 years old.
He died in an ambulance on the way to the hospital, the preliminary cause of death was named cardiovascular insufficiency.
According to media reports, Ponosov became ill, an ambulance team was called, and doctors decided to hospitalize him, but they could not take him to the clinic.

Yuri Ponosov held high positions in Tajikistan, including Minister of Construction and First Deputy Prime Minister. He also headed the Dushanbe City Hall.
After working in the republic, he moved to Moscow and in 1998 became head of the Department of State Construction of the Russian Federation.

For his work, he was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor and two medals.

The politician lived in Moscow for the last years of his life.
