Lavrov called Kiselyov a master of pen and word

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov congratulated Dmitry Kiselyov, CEO of the Rossiya Segodnya media group, on his anniversary.
He emphasized that Smolenskaya Square values time-tested relationships.

“On behalf of the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and on my own behalf, I cordially congratulate you on your 70th birthday. You have been working fruitfully in the field of professional journalism for almost half a century,” Lavrov’s congratulation reads.

Lavrov stressed Kiselyov’s mastery of pen and word and his work in covering accurate, up-to-date information about events in the country and beyond.
The minister added that Kiselyov, being the head of one of the largest media holdings in the country, continues to “make an unsurpassed and creative personal contribution to strengthening our country’s position in the global information space.”
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko also congratulated Dmitry Kiselyov, CEO of the international media group Rossiya Segodnya, on his 70th birthday.
Lukashenko noted that Kiselyov is known in Belarus as a true professional who devoted his life to defending interests and promoting the image and achievements of modern Russian statehood in the media environment.
Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia also sent a congratulatory message, noting his contribution to the establishment of traditional spiritual and moral values and awarded the Order of St. Sergius of Radonezh I degree.
