Azerbaijan has won 20 Olympic licenses: badminton players among the latest contenders

In May, the number of Olympic licenses on the republic’s account may increase, and the world Olympic wrestling qualification tournament will be held in Istanbul.

The number of Azerbaijani licenses for the Olympic Games in Paris has reached 20.
Azerbaijani badminton players Eddie Reski Dvichaio and Keishi Fatima Zahra won two more Olympic permits. They got to the Games in Paris thanks to the world ranking, which was published by the International Badminton Federation. According to the list, Dvichayo is ranked 28th, and Zahra is 31st.
Thus, the number of Olympic licenses won by Azerbaijani athletes has reached 20. A few days earlier, Diana Dymchenko won a ticket to Paris in rowing, and even earlier, the Azerbaijani women’s 3X3 basketball team, which became the first Azerbaijani team to compete at the Olympics, received a license.
Ruslan Lunev (bullet shooting), Murad Allahverdiyev, Magomed Abdullayev, Nijat Huseynov (all – boxing), Anna Skidan (athletics), Zohra Agamirova (rhythmic gymnastics), Sanan Suleymanov, Hasrat Jafarov, Aliabbas Rzazade, Haji Aliyev, Turan Bayramov, Osman Nurmagomedov, Magomedkhan also won Olympic permits for Azerbaijan Magomedov, Georgy Meshvildishvili (all – wrestling), Hashim Magomedov (taekwondo), Seljan Mahmudova (trampolining).
In May, the number of Olympic licenses on Azerbaijan’s account may increase. In particular, the World Olympic qualification tournament will be held in Istanbul on May 9-12, in which the Azerbaijani national teams in Greco-Roman and women’s wrestling will compete. Also, the Olympic ticket can be won by the Azerbaijani group team, and the International Judo Federation must approve the list of participants of the Olympiad by rating at the end of May. It will include at least seven Azerbaijani judokas.
