Holy Fire will be brought from Moscow to Belarus for Easter

Earlier, a particle of the Holy Fire was brought by flight to Minsk directly from Jerusalem for the Easter holiday, logistics changed due to the complicated situation in the region.

A particle of the Holy Fire will be delivered to Minsk from Moscow on the morning of May 5, Easter, Archpriest Alexander Shiriton, head of the pilgrimage department of the BOC, told Sputnik.
“This year we will bring the Holy Fire from Moscow upon arrival of the delegation of the Andrew the First-Called Foundation, which will fly to the Holy Land for the Holy Fire,” said the archpriest.
According to him, a particle of the Holy Fire will be brought to Minsk on Sunday at Easter.
“At 9:00 he will be taken to the Holy Spirit Cathedral,” Shiriton said.

He explained that earlier the Holy Fire was brought by flight to Minsk directly from Jerusalem for Easter, but this year the logistics changed due to the complicated situation in the region.
As RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Andrew the First-Called Foundation, the Holy Fire from Jerusalem will be delivered to Moscow on May 4, representatives of various dioceses will be able to receive it at Vnukovo airport.
From the airport, the Holy Fire will be delivered to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, where the patriarchal Easter service will take place.
Not only representatives of the Belarusian Orthodox Church will come to Moscow for the Holy Fire, but also representatives of dioceses from different regions of Russia – from Anadyr, Arkhangelsk, Belgorod, Krasnoyarsk, Murmansk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Sevastopol, Ulan-Ude, Yakutsk and several dozen other Russian cities.

The Sunday of Christ for the Orthodox this year falls on May 5. According to tradition, the Holy Fire is delivered to temples during the Bright Week.
