The EEU will share IT technologies with Cuba

Representatives of the EEU and Cuba in the field of information technology discussed joint activities and prospects for cooperation

It is planned to establish cooperation in the field of information technology and telecommunications between the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and Cuba.
This was discussed at the meeting of Alexander Aleksanyan, Director of the Information Technology Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), with the Cuban business group for Informatization and communications headed by Ariadna Placencia Castro.
The parties discussed joint activities and prospects for cooperation, the press service of the EEC reports.
It was noted that the union already has positive results of work in this direction with another country, Vietnam.

“This experience can be applied in the electronic exchange of information with Cuba, this cooperation has great potential,” Aleksanyan said.

It is worth noting that Cuba is an observer state at the Eurasian Economic Union.
Earlier, the EEU and Cuba signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Commission and the Government of Cuba, as well as a Joint Action Plan.
