Let your soul be warm and calm, the sky will be peaceful above your head, and your loved ones, relatives and close friends will be nearby. May this holiday bring mutual understanding, harmony and joy.

Dear compatriots, the bright Easter holiday teaches us all kindness, love and forgiveness. He fills our lives and hearts with spiritual strength, faith, hope and patience. All world religions teach peacefulness and tolerance. Orthodoxy, like other religions, makes a significant contribution to the promotion of the fundamental values of humanism, religious tolerance and solidarity, which underlie the harmonious development of the state and society.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Orthodox Christians and all Russian citizens celebrating Easter – Bright Resurrection of Christ

The congratulation, in particular, says:

“Easter celebrations in our country have rich spiritual traditions that unite millions of people, are passed down from generation to generation, inspire good deeds and aspirations.

It is important to note the creative, fruitful work of the Russian Orthodox Church and other Christian denominations aimed at preserving our rich historical, cultural, and spiritual heritage, strengthening the institution of the family, educating young people, and affirming in society such enduring values and moral guidelines as caring for one’s neighbor, mercy, and compassion. Spiritual pastors have always been with the people. And today, in the face of serious challenges, Christian religious organizations provide effective, selfless assistance to those who need support and attention.”

Vladimir Putin, along with Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, attended the night Easter service at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The service was performed by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
